Work with compressed ZIP files
Visual Zip Studio 98 enables you to work with compressed ZIP files by displaying archive file folders and their contents in an Explorer-style interface. During install, it scans your drives for ZIP files and maintains their folder structure in a virtual "ZIP Neighborhood." While this might seem pointless, it actually works quite nicely in conjunction with one of the program's best features -- a search engine that allows you to find files within your ZIP archives. By maintaining the ZIP Neighborhood, you won't need to scan all of your drives. A handy wizard is available to create new ZIP files, allowing you to easily add individual files, folders, and folder trees and access a host of options. You can set the compression level, span multiple disks, and password-protect your soon-to-be ZIP files. You can also use Visual Zip Studio 98 to repair corrupt ZIP files, create self-extracting archives, and UUencode and decode your ZIP files.
